We went to see the orthopedic surgeon this morning about Jon's shoulder. He is having surgery on October 21st, two weeks from Thursday. The doctor is 70% sure he can do the surgery arthroscopically which is a faster recovery. He will not know for sure until he gets in there to see how bad it really is. Please pray that he will be able to do the surgery that way because he will have a faster recovery. Pray too that Jon can keep from damaging it even more the next two weeks. He will have to wear a brace with no movement for 3-4 weeks with a total recovery time of 12-14 weeks. He will have to have extensive therapy and it wll begin the day after surgery. So by January 20th he should be back to using his arm completely. This is his left shoulder and he is left hand so he will have to miss one possibly two weeks of work. Please pray too that we will all stay healthy over the next two weeks. If he gets sick, they will have to postpone surgery and as you know we are on a time line with baby due in March.
